One Ocean: No Limits to Air on RTE2

One Ocean: No Limits, a documentary by Dundalk-based filmmaker Sarah McCann, has been named runner-up in the Best Foreign Feature Documentary Category at the recent All Sports LA Film Festival in Los Angeles. The film has been picked up by RTE and will air on RTE2 on 14 December 2014 at 8pm.

‘One Ocean: No Limits’, the first Irish documentary on the subject of the extreme sport of ocean rowing, follows a young Irish novice rower through the highs and lows of rowing unassisted as part of a crew of six across the vast Atlantic Ocean from Morocco to Barbados.

The film received screenings at festivals in San Francisco, Newport Beach and Boston this year and was selected as a Finalist in the Surfing and Ocean Sports category at the Blue Ocean Film Festival in Florida, where it was the only Irish film to have been selected for this festival.

One Ocean: No Limits is a no-budget film that was self-funded by the Producer/Director Sarah McCann who also performed major camera and editing roles.

Sarah's film is currently being supported by a Honeycomb - Creative Works Create Award for festival promotion and screenings.
