Highlights from Niche 2014

A growing number of employers in the creative industries have exciting positions available to those with the right aptitude and skills. Courses in further and higher education are available to school leavers to help them to gain the skills needed to work in the creative industries. Northern Ireland's knowledge economy is growing faster than the UK average. Those with the right skills can enjoy a stimulating and varied career in the creative industries.

Honeycomb - Creative Works, SouthWest College and Digital Circle hosted NICHE on May 9th and 10th in Enniskillen. NICHE hosted inspirational speakers and intensive workshops from the worlds of animation, visual effects, comic design, game development, music and film to demonstrate the vibrancy of the creative industries in Northern Ireland.


Honeycomb Creative Buzz Award Bootcamp

Honeycomb Creative Buzz Award Bootcamp took place at CultureTech 2014. Designed to help top talent to develop their creative potential, Bootcamp was the prize for a prestigious graduate competition within Northern Ireland and the border counties of the Republic. Winners of the Award attended a four-day Bootcamp which took place at the heart of CultureTech.


Schools Workshops at CultureTech

Honeycomb ran a series of workshops in schools during CultureTech 2014. A host of invited guests presented STEM and creative careers to almost 1,500 post primary students in Derry~Londonderry.
