This event will begin with an overview of global trends in social media, emerging apps and new platforms. It will be a practical course covering community building, best practice and social strategy for platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Vine and Pinterest. Best practices in social media advertising will be treated.

About your trainer
Michael Wilson has worked for Electronic Arts and MSN. Prior to his current role at GlowMetrics, Michael was Social Media Analyst with Channel 4 where he introduced a range of social media communication channels, analytics and monitoring services. He was shortlisted for the Social Media award at the Marketing Week 'Data Strategy Awards 2014'. Michael also works as an independent music promoter and as a freelance journalist, writing for organisations such as BBC NI, UTV and Culture Northern Ireland.
